Birsen Bloom
Birsen Illeez Bloom was born in Capodoccia Turkey. Capodoccia is located in central Anatolia and is famous for it’s ancient historical sites. Much of Birsens jewelry designs relates to these ancient times. Capodoccia is home for many local and foreign artists concentrating on design and development of both fine Arts and Crafts.
Birsen and her family later moved to Ankara Turkey where Birsen obtained her degree in architectural design from Ankara University. After graduation she became employed by the Turkish government and involved with the design was of many existing Turkish airports.
During these years of employment with the Turkish government, Birsen began designing “One of A Kind Jewelry”. The design was based upon the historical times of the Ottoman Empire and her work certainly relates to this period in time.
In 2001, Birsen and her American husband, elected to move to Mount Dora, Florida where they became deeply involved in the fine Arts and fine Crafts show in the South East section of U.S. She has been very successful with the shows and has received many awards for her works.
